Streets of Paris

Most of my postings from France have been of specific historic monuments or tourist attractions. But one of the joys of Paris is how easy it is to get around. With an easily navigated metro and freely distributed street maps (thanks to Galleries Lafayette, an amazing high-end department store), we found ourselves walking from site to site (or metro station to site). No wonder the French are so slim and chic!

So here are some of the pictures of the streets of Paris.

Thank you! I took so many photos – there were so many beautiful places and things, and I didn’t want to miss anything. It is lovely reliving the visit by sorting through the photos for the blog.

At night the Eiffel Tower lit up with lazer light shows and in the colours of the World Cup winner, South Africa, which was pretty amazing.
